Season of Change

I set out writing this post in the beginning of September one windy night in my note book…my note book has been traveling in my handbag ever since with no luck of this post being published…I kept thinking to myself I just need one picture to add to this post…well live happened and I have now decided to just publish this post. So after almost two months here it is…

I love this time of year where winter and summer meets.

The air is filled with endless possibility.

A season of change, new things and a promise of a bright and colourful future.

But there are so many things to be grateful for already because since I last wrote to you so many blessings have been rained on me.

In March one of my closest friends asked me to be her wedding photographer in November. At first I was really hesitant seeing that I have never done a professional shoot before but upon reflection I felt that this is port of Gods plan and that His grace will be with me. In May I was hospitalized with preeclampsia and a week later had to undergo an emergency C-section (a whole 4 weeks to early). But once again I was blessed and our boy Nathan (meaning Gift from God) was born healthy, albeit a bit lazy in the drinking department.

He spent a week and a half in ICU. While there we had the most wonderful nursing staff that took care of him and helped us with useful tips that we missed out on the pre natal classes that we missed because of Nathan’s early arrival.

In the mean time I have been practicing my photography skills on no other than my personal model, my baby boy.  I have slowly been purchasing more gear, including Lightroom for all my editing needs. After watching some Lightroom tutorials it got me really exited and energised for thing to come.

I feel confident and ready for the way forward and what God has in store for me in the road of becoming a successful photographer.

I look forward to share Luzanne and Werner’s engagement shoot with you.

In the meantime stay posted.

XOXO
